My career and professional accomplishments
📺 Producing content for diverse media
I've translated complex information into engaging content for wide-ranging audiences over a two-decade career. From producing short videos for the University of Otago to running successful crowdfunding campaigns. My work with Crohn's & Colitis NZ has been some of my most rewarding. Since 2018, I've been involved in several campaigns to fundraise, create awareness, and ultimately change legislation around Pharmac-funded treatments for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).At Sharesies, I produced live streaming webinars, launched the successful Shared Lunch podcast, helped increase customer uptake, and won the Supreme Award at the 2020 NZ Marketing Awards. I learned how to work remotely and asynchronously during the COVID-19 pandemic. At NHNZ, I had the opportunity to collaborate with National Geographic fact-checkers, renowned for their rigorous standards. This invaluable experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for the importance of accuracy and credibility in science storytelling, shaping my professional approach to this day.I currently work from Central Otago with a small number of remote clients.

Food for thought
🖥️ Bring back the webinar
I am a strong proponent of multi-output content strategies that maximise audience reach by repurposing content across different media.Your most recent podcast episode on "Brazil’s anti-vax disinformation economy" paired with a concise accompanying article is a great example of that.Your previous live webinars from three years ago were a great way to connect with your audience and offer direct access to experts in various fields. Revisiting live webinars as part of your content strategy could bring numerous benefits:✱ Boost engagement through active participation.
✱ Attract new audiences and collaborations.
✱ Repurpose content for various platforms such as podcasts and news articles.
✱ Gather real-time audience feedback.
